About us  

ABIODES - Biological agriculture, Biodiversity and Sustainable Development are a mozambican association with no lucrative ends, endowed with corporate entity, with administrative autonomy, financial and patrimonial, constituted in the terms of the law, conducting themselves for its statutes published in the BR in the 29 III series of 21 of July of 1999. Since its creation, ABIODES is a member of the IOFAM (International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movementes (www.ifoam.org) and of the African Biodiversity Network (www.abn.org).

It is constituted by a group of mozambicans specialized in excellent areas to the problematic one of sustainable development, sustainable, surrounding agriculture and natural resources with experience of work of many years in some domains of the activity partner-economic of Mozambique, including execution of projects, acessorie in the definition of politics and strategies, inquiry extension, consultancy, formal and informal education, etc.

ABIODES, was established in 1995 initially, agglutinated members with interest in developing activities in the agriculture area, its fast growth and tack of other members of knowledge and interests in other areas of development, motivated that the nucleus if transformed into an association with the safeguarded technician-legal aspects. Thus, in November of 1998 the nucleus of enthusiastic transform in Association with signature of a public writing in the first notarial notary’s office in the city of Maputo.

Since then ABIODES comes developing activities nationwide and international, continuing social its object, thus previleges the empirical knowledge of the communities, transforming it and conciliating with the capacity technique for the reach of its final objective that is to contribute for the sustainable development of Mozambique and the e region in last analysis of the world.
